Alianza de Alimentos expands its production capacity of Extruded Cereals and offers the maquilla service.

Starting in March 2023, Alianza de Alimentos, a company of the Armejo Yépez Group, is integrating to continue growing through the acquisition of a plant to produce extruded and expanded cereals based mainly on corn, rice, and Andean grains.

This acquisition allows the company to provide a flexible solution to meet the requirements and demands of customers in both modern and traditional channels, as well as social programs. In addition to expanding the capacity for its own brands, as of March 2023, it is entering the maquila service, allowing it to serve the local and international market.

The new production plant

The new production plant is located in the district of Carabayllo, in the city of Lima, and will be under the leadership of Mr. Harry Armebianchi as Operations Manager, who has more than 33 years of experience in both the design of extrusion machinery and their production.

This plant will have a production capacity of up to 100 tons of extruded cereals and snacks per month, and starting in the second semester, we will have the HACCP certification; Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, a preventive systematic process with which we can guarantee the safety of our food products.

Extruded cereals have multiple advantages, among which are:

Better digestibility: Extruded cereals have better digestibility, since their extrusion process reduces the amount of protein, fat and carbohydrate in the product.

Higher nutritional density: Due to the reduction of the components, extruded cereals have a higher nutritional density and a lower caloric content. This makes them an excellent option for those who want a healthy and balanced diet.

Easier preparation: Extruded cereals are much easier to prepare. This is because the extrusion process makes them more malleable, so they can be easily incorporated into any recipe.

“We are a Peruvian company committed to the well-being of people, that’s why we provide nutritious, healthy, and delicious food for our consumers in Peru and around the world.”
